  The food here is pretty decent...they have all the traditional selections but offer a fried shrimp ball, which I have not seen else where and it is quite delicious!  The seasonings and flavors were very good and we all really enjoyed our meal.  The fried items where a little cold/dense but that may be kitchen choice...regardless, we enjoyed our taro filling fried nest things and turnip cakes.
  
  There was a lack of carts, but that may just because we went quite early in the morning and/or it's not a huge space and seems like they are still working out some kinks.  
  
  The service is awful, BUT that is pretty on par with any solid Chinese restaurant lol.  If you have ever dined in China, most restaurants could care less about the service and it really is all about the food.  Like I joke with my friends, I almost don't trust Chinese restaurants' authenticity if they have great service LOL.
  
  All in all, this is a pretty solid choice that is close to home when we don't want to trek across the Hudson to China town or drive to Parisppany or Edison for quality dim sum.  Will DEF be back!!!

  Wasn't a fan of the fried rice I believe. But def Best sweet and sour chicken I think I ever had. Good price fast delivery. Highly recommend

  Your average Chinese restaurant - nothing bad, but nothing spectacular. We had the shrimp&broccoli, lobster, and a beef dish. The beef needed to be cut into slices, as they came in huge chunks that took forever to chew. The shrimp was slightly overcooked, but otherwise tasted fine (I particularly liked the broccoli in this dish though - it had a slight roasted flavor that I enjoyed). The lobster was also good, but I tended to get one small piece of shell in each bite I took. We ended with a complementary jello-like dessert.
  Service ranged (some servers were mildly rude and others very courteous). I was also interested to see that all the non-Asian tables got a bowl of chips to start - being Chinese, we got no such thing.
  Overall, an okay Chinese place, but there are definitely better ones out there.

  Service is sub par. How is it considered dim sum if the cart just sits around and you have wait 20 mins for someone to come and start pushing it around. Drinks ordered when we sat down and never came until we asked again. Shouldn't have wasted our time or money coming here.

  FOOD | Decent selection of dim sum, serving common fare including a few specialties. Wu gok (taro + pork dumpling) and fu pei guen (stuffed bean curd roll) are personal favorites! Free tea service as with any other dim sum joint. My only issue is that food is sometimes served room temperature, but my last visit - all my food arrived to my table warm.
  
  ATMOSPHERE | It's clear that this place is past its heyday. Weekend dim sum lunch service now brings three or four tables at most. However, the lack of customers is to your benefit. Frankly, I enjoy the calmer, quieter feel compared to the typical dim sum service. China Chef is clean and pretty plush in an old school kind of way.
  
  SERVICE | Quick, as expected of any dim sum service. You can be in an out in less than 45 minutes for a full meal, but don't feel rushed. Servers are brusque, but no more so than any other Asian restaurant. Customers who call the service "rude" are usually those who are unfamiliar with the culture.
  
  PRICE | Dim sum totaled ~$40 for three people including some carryout items - more than fair.
  
  OVERALL |  Serviceable dim sum when you don't want to make the trek to Chinatown. This is my childhood dim sum joint! The fact that I've been coming back for ~20 years should say something.
